We are Mathieu and Raissa . Welcome to the Seasoning house - our restaurant, our culture, our family!
Born and raised in Abidjan, a coastal city in Côte D'Ivoire (the Ivory Coast, a small country in West Africa), we first moved to Jamaica, Queens, open a restaurant in Pittsfield Mass then relocated in Troy NY.
We combine our passion for African spices and the recipes handed down by our grandparents with the freshest ingredients available sourced through local farmers' markets and suppliers to bring you a truly unique culinary experience we hope you will enjoy and share with friends and family for many years to come!
My wife, Raissa, is Executive Chef and the secret sauce to our success creating her unique fusion of West African-American flavors. She prepares each dish with passion, joy, and love.
